Caterpillar

This is my Character Design Caterpillar, influenced by Disneys Alice In Wonderland Caterpillar. adding a background will depend on whether I can get my MacBook Air to perform with my Cintiq, and make a few finishing refinements. this was done with my pen tablet.

After a critique I made the lines in the pipe and body more transparent.

I throw down some colours opposite to the colours i'm going to choose, in order so I can paint over them. whether I could have just gone straight from the lines will become known when I paint over it, but I'd started painting it this way so finished and wasn't that much more effort and I liked the trippy colours. it won't be as trippy when finished.

this is what it looks like before I paint it. a lot of changes from the initial sketch. I'm not sure my new laptop will take a full scene and wasn't compatible with my Cintiq uhhh MacBook Air. so will have to paint just the caterpillar then if all good, I will paint a fantasy scene.
